Simon Willis

Journalist & Cameraman

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]With several decades of experience at the cutting edge of broadcast journalism, Simon is someone who understands the media industry and what makes a fast-paced and, at times, unforgiving industry tick. A talented interviewer, TV producer, cameraman and a former BBC correspondent, Simon knows exactly how to set a challenge as well as enable individuals and teams to handle some of the most pressured media scenarios imaginable.

Simon’s broadcasting credentials would give anyone afraid of live television ‘sweaty palms’ with an array of news, current affairs and documentary programme experience including presenting the BBC’s flagship Newsnight and Radio Four documentaries. His production company also makes the world’s bestselling sport coaching films for sea kayaking, a sport he enjoys himself.

Simon won a Clarion Award for documentary in 2006 and, not happy to stop at being a broadcast media guru, he is also a travel writer for The Sunday Times, has published two books about adventure travel to date and won the Travelex Award. He also squeezes in time to be an Ironman triathlete as well as working with Volpa, lending his vast experience to our ‘Cunningly Good’ media training service.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19753″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]
